my story

I have always had a passion for capturing moments on camera. With more than 10 years of experience, I have the skill and trained eye to make your project come to life.

Hi everyone! This is your photographer here! I decided that I wanted to tell you a little about myself. So, here it goes!

All my life I have loved art. Like, LOVED it. I started drawing when I was very young. I would look at something and draw it all the time. Kids at school would always ask me to draw them some kind of pictures. It was like I had my own little fan base! LOL

When I was 9, something happened in my life that would forever change my total outlook on life. I was losing mass amounts of weight, drinking mass amounts of water, and eating mass amounts of food. I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. A total shocker to my whole family, since there was no family trail of it. Weird right? But, I totally believe that God has a plan and everything happens for a reason. I gained major independence from this and a whole different outlook on people. This may have changed a lot of things in my life, but not my creative drive.

In high school, I took some photography classes (honestly just to get my credits for my honors) and actually learned to love it! I knew I wanted to do something with my life that involved art, and this was maybe just the thing.

So, I decided to go to college for digital photography. I attended Harrington College of Design in Chicago, IL. Such a rush going to a school in Chicago when you are from little ol' Northwest Indiana. Unfortunately, my sugar dropped really low in the middle of the night and sent me into a diabetic coma for almost a week. I had severe memory loss and I could not seem to focus or remember to bring the things I needed everyday for college and eventually, I dropped out.

Well, the small side job photography has began to really bloom into a full time job in itself! When I say I really appreciate my clients, I mean that. I don't just say it because it might make me look better or whatever other case. Without my clients, Peacock Photography does not exists. I've learned in life that I want to make people happy! I want to do art! I want to help people who have had not so good photo experiences! I want people to feel awesome because of something that I can do for them! I want to do photography!

How did I get the name Peacock Photography you may ask? My husband helped me get this business rolling. Before we were married, he bought me my camera to help me get started. My kids, Brexston & Carsyn are also my rocks and my miracle babies. Our last names are Peacock. Hence, Peacock Photography. :)

let my lens tell your story.
